Sliding Infinitely

One arm on the levy
It's about that time
the season is right
Found a dream in the water
watched it float down stream
built a raft out of wishing
missed it by an inch
and we all went falling
like children on a slide
feels like flying, hands in air
screaming we tried, yeah we tried
and we'll all go falling
once in this life
with our hands in the air
we tried, yeah, we tried
then we splash

and those ripples
they change the surface
so we build us a reason
that gave us a purpose
projected our thoughts
on the clouds and the dust
good luck to you
and misery if you find us
cause you're coming down with me!

Globe

Found a few years in a jar
you've not a clue
how wonderful you are
I gave it a shake
watched us dance in the snow
come up to find you
got stuck in a globe

Dreamed you were dieing
you've not a clue
how hard I was crying
I tried to wake up
Didn't want you to hear me scream
Too scared to loose you
Got stuck in a dream

Found my kingdom with no rule
you've not a clue
you made this place beautiful
Cleaned all the waste
Built us a new home
Drew a garden with chalk
Got stuck here alone

Full Moon

You've got yourself
I've got me and you
As heavy as I prepared for this
I'm no hero of my own
Slipped on a few doubts
Gave it a shot, lost the game
If only you'd understand
We've got the ocean
many years of tides
Many tricks to learn
You've got your tools in a box
It holds you down
I've got not a thing around
Ah, we promised
before we knew a promise could kill
My ties, written in due
You've got yourself
I've got me and you
and it is all I've got
All I've ever had all along
I shoulda known, I shoulda
The world you've known before
is the world I havent got the tools for
Now I float around your head
There, past-due, unread
I wish it were easier
to put this broken song back in tune
but it's a full moon

The Significance in the Undefined

I stood in the road
watched the leaves run in circles
I named each flower in the garden
Compared the clouds to the sea
Understanding everything she said
will become the death of me
I remember my Grandmother
her warnings of what's to come-
Ahead you'll never find
but remember where you come from
Remember those hands you've held
The fruit you've tasted, the stories we've read
Remember this now because soon I'll be dead
so don't die untill you understand
more than the names of every cell
Just don't die before you remember well
That the undefined are the most significant
weightless and spaceless
Unconditional and forgivable
The undefined are what make this place liveable
Just remember where you come from
because this will guide you when I'm gone
Understanding might prove your not wrong
but it will not keep you strong
so remember me, remember laughing, remember tears
Remember ahead could be tomorrow, or ahead could be years
Don't die, she said, just don't die until you've won
Remember where you come from.
