Cement corner covered in ink

relating to shadows i've seen

questioning, words, with definitions

definitions I know, but don't feel

I watch as my intentions fade

How hollow I've become over the years

full of sentimental frames

that i'd gladly throw away someday

and never look back, not once

shadows of ourselves covered in ink

in dark corners of bars

pretending we've got control

It's pouring

and I stand here covered

in my own filthy blood

violently thinking of

hovering over a piece of

misunderstood faults

painted on a statue I admired

and this car is over heating

smoke from the hood emerses and id pull over

but from here I'd have no place to go

just have to head home

cause turning around

will lead to a night of speechless vessels

full of awkward silences and beating hearts

I'd rather lay alone in the dark

than debate holding you tight tonight

cause something's just not right

 this cup is half full an we've poked a hole 

i realize the only patch is sound and we know

Smooth the wrinkles in the sheets

pretend we never slept at all
